Betty Marie Walthall, 70, of Hamburg, died April 13, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Walthall was a native of Oak Grove, La. and a resident of Hamburg for the past 35 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She enjoyed fishing and watching deer feed in her yard.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Tanner Darbonne; her parents, Tony and Anie Smith Walthall and a brother, Buster Walthall.
She is survived by a son, Craig Dion Darbonne of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, Johnny Walthall and wife, Judy, of Fountain Hill and Eugene Walthall and wife, Deanie, of El Dorado; six sisters, Gracie Spivey and Mary Davis and husband, Marvin, all of Fountain Hill, Juanita Knight and husband, Bobby, of Hamburg; Susan Gifford and husband, Robert, of Fountain Hill, Nancy Coulter and husband, Roy, of Hamburg and Cindy Harris of Crossett; a granddaughter, Krystal Darbonne of Natchitoches, La.; two great-grandchildren, Lyvia and Jaxon Hayden and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is April 14 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones- Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg. Funeral services will be held April 15 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Gregory officiating. Burial will be at the Flat Creek Cemetery.
