Betty R. Cain, 87, of Harrison passed away on February 15, 2017 at Mt. Vista Rehabilitation and Health Center surrounded by family, friends and loving caretakers.

Mrs. Cain was a retired school teacher who taught for over 35 years at Eudora, Montrose, Ross Van Ness and Lake Village, all in southeast Arkansas.

She was a former member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church of Eudora, Arkansas and a current member of First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, Arkansas.

She was born on March 28, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama and was the daughter of John H. and Aline Robertson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James E. Cain, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Sandy and Mike McFalls of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Blair and Rex Guynn of Harrison and Dr. James E. Cain, III of Lampasas, Texas; seven grandchildren, Hayzen and his wife Desiree Guynn of Fayetteville, Becca and her husband Andy Davis of Fayetteville, Jay Lively of Springfield, Virginia, Ben McFalls of Wilmington, North Carolina, Kate McFalls of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Claire and Emily Cain of Lampasas, Texas; three great grandchildren, Jett and Luca Guynn and Kate Davis, all of Fayetteville; her sister, Mary Wheless of Birmingham, Alabama; nephews and nieces, Joe Wheless of Panama City, Florida, Johnny Wheless of Birmingham, Alabama and Pat Burleson of Birmingham, Alabama and their families; Steve Savage and family of Columbia, Missouri and Wayne Savage of Washington, D.C.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21st, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora with Rev. D.C. Adams officiating.
