She was the widow of Charles Raymond Chapman, a member of Lacey Assembly of God Church, and former owner of Merle Norman Studio and Betty’s Kitchen. She enjoyed sewing, working in her flower garden and was an excellent cook.
She was born on August 28, 1935 in Woodlawn to the late Ervin and Mary Roberts.
Survivors include four sons, Randy, Raymond, Scottie and Travis Chapman, all of Monticello; three brothers, Charles Roberts of Texas, Barney Roberts of New Orleans, Louisiana and Terry Roberts of Monroe, Louisiana; a sister, Janice Lofton of Nashville, Tennessee; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 3, at 9 a.m. at Beulah Cemetery in Drew County.
