Betty Ruth McCarver Yother, 71, of McGehee, died on September 24, 2016.
She worked for Delta Counseling for more than 30 years as an administrative assistant and quality control supervisor. She volunteered with Boy Scouts of America for many years, loved to shop, sew and spend time with her family. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Yother was born February 1, 1945 in Dermott and was the daughter of the late Elgie and Lemore Masters McCarver.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Yother and her sister, Frances Griffin.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Yother of McGehee; daughter, Betty Lou Beegle of Warren; sisters, Jean Barley of McGehee, Shirley Mills and Mary Howell of Lake Village, Jo Ann Hoffman of Monroe, Louisiana and Sandra Harris of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Amy Knighton of El Dorado, Amanda Bates of Woodlawn, and Jessyca Garner of Watson; great-grandchildren, Triston Bates, Abby Knighton, Mallie Bates, Blaklyn Yother, Macey Garner and Seth Garner.
Visitation will be held on September 26 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. September 27 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Donaldson and Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Drew County.
