Bill Ernest Elliott, 86, of Lake Village, died on March 5, 2015 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village.
He was a graduate of Texas Christian University where he played football and met his wife of many years, Patricia Ann Myatt. Upon their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott moved to Lake Village where Mr. Elliott became president and director of Arkansas Land & Cattle Co. He was an elder and member of First Presbyterian Church, president of the Lakeside School Board, and a member of the State ASCS Committee, the Racing Commission and a longtime member of the McGehee Bank Board of Directors.
Mr. Elliott was born on September 30, 1928 in Dallas, Texas and was the son of the late Jack Hillard Elliott and Lola Lee Elliott.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Hillard Elliot, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Myatt Elliott; two sons, Bill E. Elliott (Cindy) and Bruce Elliott (Haley) both of Lake Village; three daughters, Sharron Crow (Glenn) of Winchester, Mary Leigh Burnette (David) of Jonesboro, and Beverly Bradshaw (Ken) of Monticello; 13 grandchildren, Billy, Ryan and Bobby Elliott, Jesse Elliott and Colby Salazar, Nelson Crow, Stephanie McDonald and Trisha Schmitt, Anna Martar, Elliott Berkemeyer and Kathleen Burnette, and Rebekah Ayecock and Caitlyn Sibley; 14 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
A private burial will be held on March 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Village.
