Billy Ralph Hunter, 85, of Monticello, passed away December 22, 2020, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was born March 29, 1935, in Monticello to the late Ralph Hunter and Julia Roberts Hunter.
Mr. Hunter was a retired pharmacist and small business owner and member of First Baptist Church of Monticello. He was a workaholic who thought you should never retire. He was a former member of the Arkansas State Pharmacy Board, Drew Memorial Hospital Board and the Monticello School Board.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy Hunter, and a sister, Florene Hunter Sharp.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Hunter and wife Teresa of Monticello and Michael Hunter and wife Melissa of Monticello; two grandchildren, Julia Barnes and husband Jonathan and Dr. Will Hunter; and two great grandchildren, Anna Grace Barnes and Hunter Barnes.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 27, at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. Covid-19 guidelines will be adhered to.
