Billy Wayne Harville, 68, of Hamburg, died January 29, 2014 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
He was a native of Fountain Hill and a resident of Hamburg for most of his life. He was a retired deputy sheriff for the Ashley County Sheriff’s Department and had worked for the Georgia Pacific Corporation and the Hamburg Police Department.
He was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Harville is preceded in death by his mother, Floy Stanley White in 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Ramona Allison Harville; two sons, Phil Harville and wife, Jenny, and Grayson Harville all of Hamburg; three daughters, Crystal Harville Savage and husband, Barry, of Hamburg, Angie Harville of Bryant and Lexie Harville of Hamburg; his father, Roger White of Hamburg; two sisters, Norma Swan and Sharon Jenkins and husband, Jeff all of Hamburg; five grandchildren, Courtney Harville, Emily Rush, Brayden Harville, Jayden Estell and Hastin Savage; one niece and three nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held January 31, at 2 p.m. at the Promise Land Cemetery with Rev. Michael Reese officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Stanley, Thomas Wells, Charles (Bull) Wells, Bob McCracken, Jeff Ponthieux, Darren Swan and Zack Jenkins.
Visitation will be January 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
