Bobbie Lester Nichols, 87, of Star City, passed away on June 11, 2020 at East Point Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on June 12, 1932 at Rock Springs (Drew County) to the late Lester and Georgie Garner Nichols.
Mr. Nichols was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church at Crigler where he was on the Board of Trustees, He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a retired powerhouse supervisor for International Paper, a member of the V.F.W and the Quarter Century Club at International Paper, was a 32 degree Mason at Branchville Lodge #256 in Star City and a past caretaker of Trinity Cemetery.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Rose Marie Arel Nichols; daughter, Sandra Kay Wynn; granddaughter, Ashley Wynn; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, David L. (Sheila) Nichols of Pine Bluff and Robert A. Nichols of McGehee; two daughters, Donna Marie (Billy) Crutchfield of Star City and Phyllis Ann (Rick) Arledge of Pine Bluff; a sister, Barbara Lenderman of Garrett Bridge; six grandchildren, David (Ashley) Crutchfield, Scott (Summer) Wynn, Kody (Emily) Nichols, Kayla Nichols, James (Morgan) Arledge and Justin Arledge; and six great-grandchildren, Meridian Arledge, Elsie Claire Nichols, Will Crutchfield, Harper Crutchfield, Torcan Lowrey and Brannagh Lowrey.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Trinity Cemetery at Crigler. Grandchildren will be pallbearers.
Visitation is Friday, June 12, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service. Only 50 people allowed in the building at a time and face mask is required.
