Bobby Gene Davis, 87, of Warren, died on April 10, 2018 at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation in El Dorado.
He was born on January 14, 1931, in Warren, and was the son of the late Bernie Davis and Mary Etta Ferrand Davis.
He was an a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force, the retired owner and operator of Davis Wrecking Yard, and a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Gerda Trampel Davis, who died March 15, 2018; an infant daughter, Marie Catherine Davis; and a son-in-law, Richard Stringer.
Survivors are two sons, Mark Davis and wife Rose of Pine Bluff; Brad “B.J.” Davis and wife Sharon of Warren; two daughters, Lisa Stringer of Mandeville, Louisiana and Joni McGaha of El Dorado; six grandchildren, Circe Bridges, Hannah McGaha, Jason Davis, Jared Davis, Roy Hamilton, and Jennifer Bradley; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, April 12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with flag presentation will be at Oakland Cemetery.
