Bobby Jack Chambers

Bobby Jack Chambers, 81, of Crossett, passed away on May 27, 2014 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.

Mr. Chambers worked for the Crossett Company and Georgia-Pacific for twenty-five years and then owned Chambers Real Estate and Appraisal Company in Crossett, AR. He was a member of the Lion’s Club, Civitans, Gideons, Arkansas Nail Benders and had obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and was Boy Scout Leader for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Crossett.

He was born on December 27, 1932 in Crossett to Festus Enoch and Denver Doris Atkins Chambers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rosemary Chambers; and his beloved Dalmation, Lady.

Survivors include two sons, David Chambers (D.J.) of Warren; Dan Chambers (Joan) of Little Rock; one daughter, Debby Bonds of Little Rock; one brother, Jim Chambers (Hope) of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren, Kirby Bonds, Sr. of Hamburg, AR, Jeff Chambers of Los Angeles, Calif., Kit Bonds of Little Rock, Kim Jensen (Steve) of Alamogordo, NM, Rebecca Mills of Little Rock, and five great-grandchildren; one niece, Dawn Vilbig and one nephew, Mark Chambers.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of the Hospice Home Care Facility for their exceptional care.

Funeral services will be held May 30 at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Crossett with Bro. Gary Carter and Bro. Jamie Staley officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
