Bobby Ray Ferguson, 84, of Warren, died September 17, 2014 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.
Mr. Ferguson was a United States Navy veteran who served in the Korean War where he was a gunner’s mate on the USS destroyer ship Bausell. He was a salesman, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and was a Gideon.
He was born on August 10, 1930 at Levy and was the son of the late William Ferguson and Tennie Inzo Evans Ferguson.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Barry Ferguson; brothers Harold Ferguson and Charlie Ferguson; two grandchildren, Lauren Ferguson and Martin Ferguson and a great grandson, Oliver Poole.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Ferguson and wife Laura of Hermitage, Ken Ferguson and wife Trish of Nesbit, Mississippi, and Bruce Ferguson of Bedford, Texas; three daughters Donna Noble, Monticello, Michelle Carter and husband Mark of Wilmar, and Cindy Ferguson of Austin, Texas; a sister Pat Dickey, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a former wife and special friend, Lillie Joan Ferguson of Wilmar.
Funeral services will be held September 20 at 10 a.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Revs. Jimmy McSpaddin and Randy Norman officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeremy Ferguson, Dustin Calloway, Jason Carter, Bradley Carter, Jordan Ferguson and Joshua Ferguson.
