Bobbye Ann Tucker Glover of Star City passed away on March 13, 2020, her 87th birthday.
She was a daughter of the late U.S. and Hazel Butler Tucker of Star City.
“Miss Bobbye” retired after decades employed by the USDA Soil Conservation Service and the USDA Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service at Star City. She was an active member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at Palmyra (Lincoln County), and for many years sang in the church choir.
She was known for her crochet work, which won blue ribbons at the Lincoln County Fair and gifted to many lucky friends, church members and relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ray Tucker and a sister, Maxine Hoyt.
Survivors include her husband of almost 69 years, Veon Glover of Star City; two daughters, Rhonda Dishner of Pine Bluff and Theresa (Gene) Webb of Palmetto, Florida; one son, Bentley (Jacque) Glover of Mountain Home; two sisters, Sue (Hershel) Harwell of Bray, VA, and Paulette Stone of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Raney Dishner of Pine Bluff, Barrett Dishner of Clovis, New Mexico, Brannon Carter of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Amber Manson of Phoenix, Arizona; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Abigail, Keira and Emily.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City. Visitation will begin at noon, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Bro. John Marlar will officiate. Burial will be at Leek Cemetery.
