A body believed to be that of Shannon Ridener, a Crossett woman missing since January 13, was found this week, according to authorities.
The body was found Thursday by an off-duty Arkansas Game & Fish Commission officer near a creek, along U.S. 63, near Hermitage in Bradley County. The body has been transported to the Arkansas Crime Lab.
Ridener, 38, was last seen on January 13 when she was visiting her father and stepmother at their home in Crossett. She was with someone in a small white car. Her purse was found sometime later underneath a bridge in Bradley County.
The case is still under investigation.
