The body of 26-year-old Marquis Martin, a Drew County man who had been missing for nearly a month, was found Saturday morning in a creek outside of Wilmar, according to the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.
The body was discovered by a citizen at 7:05 a.m. The citizen called 911 and an Arkansas Game & Fish officer was at the scene moments later, followed by Drew County Sheriff’s officials and Arkansas State Police agents.
Martin was pronounced deceased at 9:40 a.m. by the Drew County coroner. The body will be transported to the state Crime Lab to determine the cause and manner of death.
