Liz Borse-Newman of Monticello will display a collection of portrait and nature photography as part of her senior art exhibit at the University of Arkansas at Monticello April 10-16 in the Spencer Gallery of the UAM Fine Arts Center.
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. An artist’s talk and reception will be held on April 11 at 3 p.m.
Borse-Newman’s photography shows her interest in capturing emotional connections in portrait and nature photography, according to Tom Richard, professor of art.
“Her portraits investigate the range of human emotion and how it connects to the subject,” he explained. “Other photographs investigate the emotional connection to the intimate in nature.”
