Bradley County is getting into the spirit of Christmas with a number of events set for the coming days and weeks, including a Christmas Parade, Christmas Stroll, Santa Train, outdoor lighting contest, Christmas Tour of Homes, ice skating, and an “Old Fashioned Christmas in the Park.”
The 2nd Annual Christmas Stroll will be Saturday, November 26 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Main Street in Warren. There will be a hay ride, live music, Santa and Mrs.Claus, inflatable jumpers, and many more activities.
On November 26 from noon until 8 p.m. and November 27 from noon until 6 p.m. there will be ice skating at the Arts & Crafts building beside Molly’s Diner. The cost will be $5 for a 30 minute skating session. Waivers must be signed before anyone is allowed to skate. On December 9, at 5:30 p.m. the Warren Women’s Club will conduct an outdoor lighting contest. The Christmas Parade through downtown Warren will follow at 6 p.m. The parade theme is “Sounds of the Season.” To register a parade entry, contact the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce.
On December 10 at 9:30 a.m., the Santa Train will be at the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA.
On December 11, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., the GFCW Warren’s Women’s Club will host the 23rd Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes in Bradley County. The event, which will benefit the Bradley County Historical Museum, will also feature a “Nativity Exhibit” and “Festival of Wreaths” at the museum.
On December 17 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Moro Bay State Park will host it’s annual “Old Fashioned Christmas in the Park.” There will be refreshments at the visitor’s center or you can roast a hot dog or marshmallow by the fire in the park. There will be a hayride through the park and photos with Santa Claus and the elves will be available. Admission to the park that evening will be $2 or a canned food or a toy.
