Brady WeissUniversity of Arkansas at Monticello baseball student-athlete Brady Weiss was named the Great American Conference Player of the Week after leading UAM to a 3-1 record this past week.

Weiss, a junior, complied a weekly stat line of batting .300 overall while scoring six runs, hitting three home-runs, and recording nine runs batted in. Brady also drew nine total walks combined in the four games last week as well, and finished with a slugging percentage of 1.200.

Weiss began the week going 1-for-3 with two RBIs, one home-run and one run scored in the Weevils 5-2 non-conference victory over Arkansas Tech. He then followed up that performance in game one at Southwestern, going 1-for-2 with one home-run, three runs scored, three RBIs, and four total walks.

The Chandler, Arizona native finished up the weekend on the road belting yet another home-run against the Bulldogs, and recording four RBIs and three walks.

UAM will return to action next on Friday, March 31, as the Weevils head to Arkadelphia, Arkansas to face Henderson State in a three-game GAC series with first pitch slated for 6 p.m.
