Brenda Cheryl Stafford, 54, of Beebe, formerly of Dumas and Hamburg, died on October 21, 2015 at the Unity Health-White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Mrs. Stafford was a native of Dumas and a former resident of Hamburg for many years. She graduated from Dumas High School in 1979 and was a member of the Dark Corner Christian Church. She was a loving grandmother to many she called her own.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Delana Shyree Anne Stafford; her parents, James and Bonita Summitt Pertuis; and a beloved cousin, Jacob Stanley.
She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Kilcrease and husband, Joey, of Hamburg; a son, Joseph Stafford and wife, Devon, of Wilmot; a brother, James “Bubba” Pertuis, Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Star City; a sister, Melissa Brantley of Monticello; two special aunts, Judith Fordyce of Conway and Kathy Lugo of Monticello; a uncle, Bill Summitt of Watson; four grandchildren, Ashton and Gavin Kilcrease and Ezra and Drake Stafford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is October 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
Funeral services will be held on October 24 at 10 a.m. at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church in Hamburg with Bros. James Draper and Trey Emory officiating. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Trey Hawkins, Trey Tubbs, Clayton “Gator” Hoops, Scottie Stafford, Brad Johnson and Jason Summitt. Honorary pallbearers are Gavin Kilcrease, Ezra Stafford and Drake Stafford, Beau Brantley, Wyatt Hoops, Dalton Hoops, Garrett Hoops, Gary Bradley, Briar Spears, Wyatt Simpson, Hayden Pertuis and Brody Pertuis.
