Brenda Stell Hollis Graham, 79, of Hamburg, died May 16, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Graham was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and a 1959 graduate of Hamburg High School.
She worked for the City of Hamburg for over 25 years, the last 13 years as the City Clerk/Treasurer. She was a past member of the Arkansas City Clerks, Treasurers Association, serving one term as district director; was a past member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and through educational programs, she achieved the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk; she also served on the Advisory Council of the Arkansas Municipal League for six years.
Mrs. Graham was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benson Dewitt Stell and her mother, Vera Ross Stell Smith.
She is survived by her son, Tim Hollis; her daughter, Meredith Hollis Hayden both of Hamburg; a brother, Van Stell and wife, Theresa, of Branson, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jessica Deal and husband, Mitchell, Carrie Evans and husband, Grant, Wade Hollis, Harleigh Livingston and husband, Daniel, and Baileah Hayden; one great-grandson, Pacen Phillip Deal, a great-granddaughter on the way, Ansley Brooke Evans; three lifelong friends, Joyce Ann Rush, Sherry Stahley and Bonnie Colquette and her internet son, Wu Tjin Sen.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at the Hamburg Cemetery with Bro. Ray Woods and Stephen Dumas officiating. Pallbearers are Butch Hill, Stephen Dumas, Brian Slaughter, Grant Evans, Daniel Livingston and Mitchell Deal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department, 1221 N. Main Street, Hamburg, AR 71646.
Visitation will be Monday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
