Ashley, and Chicot counties in Southeast Arkansas are among 10 counties in Arkansas under burn bans as of February 17.
Bradley County is no longer under a burn ban as of February 17. (See map above.)
Outdoor burning is prohibited in counties where burn bans have been issued. Bans are issued by county judges.
As of February 18, the wildfire risk remains moderate or high for all but the central and northwest portions of the state where the risk is low. There is a high risk of wildfire danger in seven counties in the southwest corner of the state and moderate risk in other parts, including Southeast Arkansas, according to the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
