Byron Montgomery, Mainline Health Systems’ assistant clinical director and provider at Star City, has been elected to the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association Board of Directors, representing District 2.
Montgomery will serve a 2-year term which begins this month.
Montgomery is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2006 before earning his Master’s Degree from the University of Texas in Arlington.
Montgomery says he entered the field because he enjoys helping people find a solution to their problems.
He has worked at Mainline Health Systems for nearly seven years. “Everyone (at Mainline) is personable from top to bottom,” Montgomery said. “I feel everyone in administration and management honestly believes in the vision of helping the community, especially the underserved population, and that trickles down to the clinic staff.”
Montgomery and his wife, Hillary Montgomery, live in Monticello. They are the parents of three children, a daughter and twin boys. When he isn’t at work taking care of his patients’ needs, Montgomery enjoys spending time with his family and woodworking.
