C. B. Harriman

C. B. Harriman, 78, of Hamburg, died on July 1, 2016 at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett.

He graduated from Hamburg High School and served in the United States Army Reserves for four years.  He worked for Jones Funeral Home and he retired from the United States Postal Service in 1992 after 30 years, the last 12 years as Post Master.  He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Crossett. He loved to camp, hunt, fish, travel and cook for his church.

Mr. Harriman was preceded in death by his parents, Cordel and Claude Locke Harriman; a brother, Morril Harriman; and a stepson, Nick Upshaw.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shirley Eaves Harriman of Hamburg; three sons, Steve Harriman and wife, Stacey, of Hamburg, Corey Harriman and wife, Candace, and Craig Harriman and wife, Misty, all of Dallas, Texas; a stepson, Joe Upshaw of Crossett; a sister, Kathryn Carter of Bossier City, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be held on July 5 at 10 a,m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Father Bob Allen officiating.
