Caleb Spaulding

Caleb Michael Spaulding, 18, of Portland, died July 5, 2014 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

A life long resident of Portland, Caleb graduated from Hamburg High School in 2014 and worked for Scott Young Farms. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and also attended the Portland Baptist Church.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was always on the go, he never sat still.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bettye Burns and Homer Spaulding; his great-grandparents, Robert Homer and Louise Spaulding, Gussie and Bertha Lee Turner, R.Q., and Idell Collins Burns and Bob and Odell Justice.

He is survived by his parents, Roby and Patricia Burns Spaulding; a brother, Taylor Spaulding all of Portland; his grandparents, Denver Burns of Portland and Darlene Spaulding Lawson of Hamburg; two uncles, Jamy Spaulding and wife, Lorenda, of Hamburg and Jamie Burns and wife, Billie Jean, of Portland; seven cousins, Jadon, Alexah and Hailie Spaulding, Ashley Burns, Regina Powell, Ericia Henderson and Colton Wilson.

Funeral services will be held July 8 at 10 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Bros. Carl Mason, E. W. Ricks and  Lloyd Townsend officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be July 7 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.

Pallbearers are Darren Johnson, Frank Davis, Wilburn Martin, Brian Young, Justin Martin and Wesley Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Streeter, Sammy Denton and Ryan Carter.
