Calvin Adams, 82, of Lake Village died May 19, 2015 at his home in Lake Village.

He served in the Army Reserves during the Korean War and was employed as an electrician and a farm hand for Bobby Miller until his retirement.

Mr. Adams was born on March 27, 1933 in Baxter and was the son of the late Leroy and Georgia Strickland Adams.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary June Stough Adams and a brother, Harvey Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Murphy Adams; four sons, Danny Adams and wife Linda of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; Johnny Williams and wife Sissy of Snyder; James Williams and wife Kelly of Crossett; Barry Adams and wife Lana of Fayetteville; five daughters, Margie Whitmore and husband Wesley of Fayetteville; Pamela Adams of Springdale; Cynthia Shavers and husband Richard of Hot Springs; Debbie Thomlison of Van Buren; Teresa Patrick and husband Brandon of Hamburg; a sister, Juanita Streeter of Heber Springs; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held May 23 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. Funeral services will be held on May 24 at 2 p.m. Bishop-King Funeral Home with burial following in Lake Village Cemetery.
