Cane Creek State Park has implemented a new program to help runners prepare for the Stardaze 5K run in April.
“Couch to Stardaze 5K” is based on the model “Couch to 5K”. It is designed to go slow, 30 minutes three times a week, and gradually build up to where you are eventually running a 5K, according to Seth Boone, park interpreter at Cane Creek State Park.
“To start, join us at Cane Creek where we are hosting the Couch to Stardaze 5K every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,” Boone said. “Times will vary based on schedule availability, but feel free to keep track of the programs online at arkansasstateparks.com. The program is free and we hope that it encourages you to run the Stardaze 5K on April 18 at 9 a.m.”
