Carol Carrington, 74, of Star City died August 12, 2015 at Gardner Nursing Center in Star City.

She was a member of the Animal Cruelty Protective Services and a homemaker.

She was born on February 19, 1941 in Michigan and was the daughter of the late Billy Jack and Allie Wimberly Carrington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Harrison; a grandson, Brian Keith Williams; two brothers, Quiton Carrington and Jerry Carrington; and five sisters, Fern Ratterree, Gladys Ferguson, Coy Carrington, Margaret Carrington and Betty Markham.

Survivors include a son, Jeff (Joanie) Harrison of Star City; three daughters, Janice Carol (Howard) White of Monticello, Fonda Hackney of Star City and Jeannie (Vaughn) Barnes of Crossett; a brother, Calvin Carrington of Michigan; and 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on August 14 at 11 a.m. at Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Wall officiating. Visitation is August 14 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.

Pallbearers are Chuck Daughtery, Chad Shinn, James Manes, Joey Crowder, Jimmy Hackney and Dana Glover. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Harrison, Gary Harrison and Vaughn Barnes.
The family will be at the home of Fonda Hackney, 11704 Hwy 425 North in Star City.
