Carolyn Jane Smith Ashcraft, 77, of Warren, died on May 1, 2018, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born on October 28, 1940, in Sumpter and was the daughter of the late Hollis Guy Smith and Gracy Pauline Forrest Smith.
Mrs. Ashcraft was a retired seamstress for Jack Winter and LaDonna Sportswear and a member of Martin’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ashcraft was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Arnold Ashcraft; a brother, Harold Smith; and a sister, Mary Jo Ashcraft.
Survivors are a son, Wayne Ashcraft of Warren; three daughters, Brenda Payne of Rye, Bonnie Ashcraft of Warren, and Sharon Oelsen of Hermitage; a sister, Earline Chapman of Forrest City; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Rev. Felton Savage officiating. Burial will be at the Adams-Singer Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Wesley Ashcraft, Brandon Oelsen, Josh Keller, Benny Braswell, Eddie Braswell, and Roger Braswell. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Joe H. Wharton, Sonny Newton, Fred Newton, Jerry Castleberry, John W. Ashcraft, Charles Ashcraft, and Tommie Ashcraft.
