Carolyn Mangum Sledge, 71, of Little Rock, passed away on August 14, 2021.
She was born June 5, 1950 in Dumas to the late L.B. Mangum and Thelma Ferguson Mangum.
Carolyn was a graduate of McGehee High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she received a degree in psychology.
Carolyn was a social worker for the State of Arkansas for many years and owned and operated Finer Things Antiques Store in Monticello. She enjoyed buying and selling antiques and decorating. Her children say she was a wonderful cook. Carolyn loved her family, especially her grandchildren who called her Bella.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Nichols and Velma Millerd and her brother, Kenneth Mangum.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jerry Don Sledge of Little Rock; son, Dax (Hayley) Sledge of Little Rock; daughter, Tiffany (Anguel) Kehayov of Little Rock; brother, Floyd (Pat) Mangum of Monticello; grandchildren, Eden Sledge, Emi Kehayov and Wilder Kehayov; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 19, at 11 a.m. at the Tillar Cemetery pavilion in Tillar with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
