Carolyn Virginia Farrell, 73, of Dermott, passed away on September 17, 2015 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village.
She was a graduate of Kinder Louisiana High School and worked at Save Mart in McGehee before retiring in May 2011. She was a member of Standard Baptist Church in Olla, Louisiana.
Mrs. Farrell loved to collect frogs and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also adored her pet yorkie, Duke.
She was born in Columbia, Louisiana on August 30, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Grover Edward and Jessie Era Wallace Wilks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Abshire and grandson, Mitchell Head.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Farrell of Dermott; two sons, Keith Edward Donaldson and his wife Mykila of McRae and Keven L. Donaldson of Dermott; daughters, Kimber L. Head and her husband, Jimmy of Dermott; a brother, J.E. Wilks of Ball, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held September 18 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee.
Funeral service will be held on September 19 at 2 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel in McGehee with Rev. Larry Donaldson officiating.
Burial will be Dermott Cemetery in Dermott.
