Carrie Mae Pamplin Dodd, 81, of Crossett, passed away on June 28, 2014 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado.
She was born in Hamburg on September 9, 1932 to her parents, Herman Calvin and Pearl Emory Pamplin.
Mrs. Dodd retired as a quality inspector after 29 years of service with Georgia-Pacific. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family, especially her great-grandchildren, and friends.
Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Calvin and Pearl Emory Pamplin; her husband, Roland J. Dodd; a daughter, Elva Jean Martin, a son, Larry L. Parks and a great-grandson, William John Dodd-Ross.
She is survived by sons, Frank L. Dodd (Pat), Daniel C. Dodd (Judy), all of Crossett; Terry L. Dodd (Carmen) of Cowden, Ill., Jerry R. Dodd (Betty) of Katy, Texas; daughter, Sandra G. Sisco (Wayne) of Goldsboro, NC; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at July 2 at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Crossett. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held July 1 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
