Carrie Mae Sanders, 79, of Fouke, formerly of McGehee, died on August 19, 2017.
Mrs. Sanders was a hard worker who helped her husband on the farm. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
She was born on November 4, 1937 to the late Lonnie and Ruth Earnestine Williams Pinion.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by husband, Don Sanders, Sr.; and brothers, Johnny May, L.D. Pinion, Willis Pinion and Albert Pinion.
Survivors include her son Donnie Sanders, Jr. of Harrison; daughter, Melinda Reeves of Fouke; brother, Tommy May of Pearl, Mississippi; sisters, Carolyn Lamb of Arkansas City, Lillie Mae Snow of McGehee, Edna Kennedy of Dumas, Shirley Irons of McGehee, Geneva Chance of Brunswick, Georgia and Kathy Wilson of McGehee; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ben White officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
