Chad Hampton, 35, of Crossett, died on May 25, 2020 in Little Rock.
Mr. Hampton was a native of El Dorado and a resident of Crossett for most of his life. He served in the Louisiana National Guard and worked as a forklift operator.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hog, coon and turkey hunting, and in his spare time, he liked to play pool with his dad. He was a caring and giving person; he continued that in death through the gift of organ donation.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Williamson and John Hampton; his great-great-grandmother, Louise Stafford and a special cousin, Tommy Hampton.
He is survived by two daughters, Karlie Grace Hampton and Maggie Hampton; his special friend and the mother of his children, Janet Martin, all of Hamburg; his father, Robert Hampton of Crossett; his mother and stepfather, Anne Williamson Golden and Chris Golden, of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; a stepbrother, Patrick Golden of Bastrop, Louisiana; a stepsister, Heather Nordan of Monroe, Louisiana; his grandmothers, Gussie Hampton of Hot Springs and Margaret Robinson and husband, Ray, of Bastrop, Louisiana; three aunts, Janie Williamson White and husband, Robert, of Crossett, Debbie Hampton Paulk, and Linda Hampton Moody and husband, Allen; three uncles, Mike Hampton and wife, Janie, Dennis Hampton and wife, Dorinda and Greg Hampton all of Hot Springs; two special cousins, Derrick and Jeremy White; several nieces, nephews, other cousins and a host of friends.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Bonne Idee Cemetery in Mer Rouge, Louisiana.
