Two University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball players earned two honorable mention selections to the 2017 All-Arkansas Collegiate Team.

Pitchers Braden Chambers, and Dawson Moser earned honorable mention picks after helping lead the Weevils to a 33-21 (22-11 GAC) record, the 2017 Great American Conference Tournament Championship, and advancing into the NCAA Central Regional Tournament for the second consecutive season.

He finished fourth overall in the GAC in innings pitched, eighth in strikeouts, tied for second overall in total wins, and tied for first in total games started.

Braden increased his career wins total out to 22, putting him just three wins away from becoming UAM Baseball’s all-time wins leader, currently held by Tommy Taylor (1998-2001) with 24.

Moser, a junior from Dewitt, concluded the season with a 5-1 overall record in 19 appearances, throwing 28.2 innings total. He ended the year with a 1.26 earned run average, 37 strikeouts, and a team-high seven saves, and ranked tied for third in the GAC in saves.

Dawson is also the UAM Baseball all-time career saves leader with 17 overall, and currently ranks fifth in career appearances with 53 total during his time at Arkansas-Monticello so far.

UAM will look to build upon its success this past season heading into 2018, after earning the number eight overall seed in the NCAA Central Regional and advancing to the third day of the tournament before being knocked out by number two seed Minnesota State University in Emporia, Kansas.
