Tenth Judicial District Prosecutor Thomas Deen has filed first-degree murder charges against a Crossett man and hindering apprehension charges against a Warren man in connection with the July 30 shooting death of 23-year-old Lajarris Walton, of Warren.

Bobby Robertson, 30, of Warren is charged with first-degree murder and Triston McClendon, 22, of Warren, is charged with hindering Robertson’s apprehension by providing him transportation or by some other means, according to Bradley County Circuit Court documents.

Walton was fatally shot at the intersection of Pierson and McCauley streets on the west side of Warren.

Robertson is being held on a $150,000 bond in an Ashley County jail and McClendon, whose parole was revoked, is in the Arkansas Department of Correction. He was on parole for robbery.
