Charlie Henry Fincher, Jr. died in his childhood home on March 22, 2022, after his battle with cancer.
He was born July 14, 1939 in Monticello to his parents, the late Eva Fell and Charlie Fincher, Sr.
Charlie was a graduate of Monticello High School. He joined the United States Army and worked for the U.S. government with oil exploration. Charlie enjoyed traveling to more than twenty countries before returning home to start a family. After his years of travel he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Contessa Fincher, and sister, Viola Fincher.
Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Fern Fincher, and daughters, Priscilla Fincher and Renee Watkins. Grandchildren include Lillian Cooper, Finn Dubin, Courtney Watkins, Kelly Watkins, and Lindsay Watkins; including five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved pet parrot Rex.
No services will be held.
