Charlie Leon Selby, 88, of Montrose, died on December 21, 2016 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi.
He was born May 21, 1928 in Prescott and was the son of the late John H. Selby and the Mary Bowen Selby.
Mr. Selby was a member of Montrose Baptist Church and an avid Razorback fan, He loved hunting, fishing, and telling old hunting stories.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Michael Selby; a daughter, Paula Selby; his first wife, Joan Tiner; four brothers, and a sister.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara Selby of Montrose; two sons, Freddy Selby and wife, Margaret of McGehee and Brian Selby and wife, Christy of Dumas; a daughter, Brittney Wilson and husband, Linnie of Montrose; a brother, Sam Selby of Greenbrier; a sister, Ruby Helen Murphy of Sherwood; seven grandchildren, Scott, Michael, Christy, Thad, Bryson, John Paul and Charlie; 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12-2pm Monday, December 26, at Montrose Baptist Church with Funeral Services starting at 2pm with Bro. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
