John Ratzenberger, better known as the iconic Cliff Clavin on the long-running television comedy series Cheers, will be in Monticello this week on the so-called “Obama’s Failing Agenda” bus tour conducted by the conservative group, Americans for Prosperity. The bus tour will stop in Paragould, Jonesboro, Monticello, El Dorado, Searcy and Conway. While there is a web site announcing the bus tour, it provides very little information about the event or what Ratzenberger will speak about, but in recent years Ratzenberger has become a champion of U.S manufacturing.
Ratzenberger will be at the La Bamba Mexican Restaurant at 615 W. Gaines in Monticello from noon until 1:30 p.m. It appears from information on the Failing Agenda web site that lunch will be served and the event is open to the public.
