Chesley A. Peters, 88, of Crossett, passed away on January 30, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was employed with Georgia Pacific for 45 years. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; a past Master at the Crossett Lodge #576; District Deputy Grand Lecturer and member of the Order of Eastern Star #303.
Mr. Peters was born on April 27, 1927 in Milo, and was the son of the late Thomas E. and Cora M. Horne Peters.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Pauline Peters of Crossett; one son, David W. Peters (Kim) of Milo; one daughter, Eva Applegate of Mountain View; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three nephews and many other relatives.
A funeral service will be held on February 1, at 10 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church with Bros. Travis Roberts and David Tohlen officiating. Burial will be at Judson Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
