The Drew County Sheriff’s Office and Monticello Police Department are selling tickets for chicken dinners to benefit the family of the late Drew County Chief Deputy Sheriff Robin Hood.
The chicken dinner includes grilled chicken, potato salad, baked beans, roll and dessert. Tickets are $10 per dinner and must be purchased in advance, no later than July 18.
Dinners may be picked up on Friday, July 22 at Morning Star Church, located at the corner of Oakland and Gabbert streets in Monticello. Pick up time is 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. If more than five dinners are purchased for one location, Monticello Police Department and Drew County Sheriff’s Office will deliver the meals.
Morning Star Church members will cook the dinners and all proceeds and donations will go to the Hood family.
“Thanks to all in advance and a special thanks to Pastor D.J. Buffington and the Morning Star family,” said Monticello Police Chief Eddy Deaton.
