Clemmie Jean Richter, 74, of Dermott, died on July 10, 2018 at UAMS in Little Rock.
She was born on June 20, 1944 in Lake Village and was the daughter of the late Clemuel and Doris Carpenter. She was the wife of the late Gene Bradley Richter of Council Grove, Kansas.
Mrs. Richter retired from McGehee Industries where she was a seamstress. She was a long-time resident of Council Grove, Kansas and Lake Village. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a love of gardening.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Richter was preceded in death by a daughter, Marissa Stodghill; two brothers, her twin, Lemmie Dean Carpenter, and John Carpenter; four sisters, Willeen Clark, Christine Griffin, Barbara Martin, and Nina Dell Chaney.
She is survived by a son, John Bradley Richter of Dermott; three daughters, Melissa Soyring and husband Jeff of Covington, Louisiana, Geneva Pieroni and husband Richard of Lake Village, and Amanda Toth of Dermott; eight grandchildren, Charles Mangrum, Robert Blount, Krystina Smith, Jessie Pieroni, Hannah Pieroni, Kimberly Toth, Tristin Toth, and Jace Rangel; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday July 14, at 2 p.m. at the Bishop- King Funeral Home Chapel of Lake Village.
