Clifford Dewayne “Dub” Towles, 89, of McGehee, died on December 6, 2016.
He was a retired clerk for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member of Bonita Baptist Church in Bonita, Louisiana and attended Wesley United Methodist Church in McGehee. He was also a member of McGehee Masonic Lodge #643 and the Eastern Star.
Mr, Towles was born July 21, 1927 in the Line community, a son of the late Noel Turner and Rosa Copeland Towles.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Towles; brother Raymond Towles; and sister, Mary Lois Naff.
Survivors include his sons Clifford D. (Sandy) Towles of Vilonia, Craig Towles of McGehee, and Billy Don (Susan) Towles of McGehee; daughters, Laura (Danny) Branch of McGehee, Debby Towles of McGehee, and Jackie (George) Sheppard of Hot Springs; a sister, Frances Herrington of Bastrop, Louisiana; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, at Wesley United Methodist Church in McGehee with Rev. Larry Donaldson and Allen Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at McGehee Cemetery.
