Clinton Allen Mote, 57, of McGehee, passed away on August 2, 2018 in Little Rock.
Mr. Mote was born December 22, 1960, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to the late Edward F. and Beatrice Stacey Mote. He was a 1979 graduate of McClellan High School in Little Rock and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Memphis State University in 1984.
He was employed by Entergy as an electrical engineer at the White Bluff Plant at Redfield. He formerly worked for Potlatch Corporation Cypress Bend Mill near McGehee and the Gaylord Paper Company in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Mote was a deacon and dedicated member of Tillar Baptist Church where he played trumpet with the praise band. He loved camping and fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. His quiet presence and strong work ethic endeared him to all who knew him.
Mr. Mote was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Paula Akines Mote of McGehee; son Doug (Kandice) Mote of Cabot; daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Kinkade of Benton, Anslee Mote of Little Rock, and Katie Mote of McGehee; sisters, Linda Flowers of Little Rock and Cindy Mote of Cabot, mother-in-law, Virginia Akines of McGehee; and four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Peyton, Serenity, and Ivy Kate.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, August 5, at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 6, at Tillar Baptist Church in Tillar with Rev. Kenny Hogue, Rev. Dennis Green and Rev. Jerry Starnes will officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery.
