Cody Lane Brockman, 26, of Star City passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
He was born on June 17, 1992 in Monticello. He was the assistant manager for O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Monticello and helped his dad on the family farm.
Mr. Brockman was a member of the Ladelle Baptist Church in Ladelle (Drew County), a member of the Arkansas State Trap Shooter’s Association and a graduate of Southeast Arkansas College at Pine Bluff.
Survivors include his parents, Doug and Sudie Russell Brockman of Star City; a sister, Tayler Bolen (Coty) of Star City; a nephew, Charles Lane Bolen of Star City; paternal great grandmother, Lola Anderson of Star City; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Glenda Brockman of Star City; maternal grandparents, Ricky and Carol Russell of Boydell; two uncles and aunts, Robert and Chas Bowden of Monticello and Kenyon and Veronica Brockman of Queen Creek, Arizona.
Mr. Brockman was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Karen Almoney.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at O’Neil Cemetery near the Butler community with Bro. Larry Donaldson officiating.
Pallbearers are Dylan Bowden, Coty Bolen, Joshua Johnson, Donald Batson, Jr., Michael Sanders and Tim Sanders.
