Constance Louise Puddephatt French

Constance Louise Puddephatt French, 91 of Star City passed away March 3, 2022 at Dalton’s Place in Star City.

She was born October 2, 1930 in Pine Bluff to the late Sam Cawthorne and Lucy Maye Coleman Puddephatt.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Star City where she was a teacher and a member of Will Emma Sunday School. She was retired from AP&L, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and Jimmy Brown Elementary School. She was the secretary of the Lincoln County Library Board and was a member of the Star City Book Club.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bert French; and a daughter, Tanya Melissa French.

Survivors include two daughters, Ashley French (Drew) Steed and Jennifer French (Keith) Griffin, both of Star City; brother, Sam Cawthorne (Dr. Robert Newton) Puddephatt, Jr. of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Lezleigh Jane Altom of Hot Springs; three grandsons, Zachary (Amanda) Altom of Fayetteville, Kyle (Jennie) Steed of Los Angeles, CA, and Lukas Steed of Little Rock; one great-granddaughter, Adilyn Jane Knight of Hot Springs; and one great-grandson, Asher Blane Knight of Hot Springs.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Star City followed by funeral services following at 2 p.m. at the church. Bro. Russell Hull will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Zach Altom, Lukas Steed, Elwin Ollar, Keith Boyd, Mike Walker, Mike McMillen, and Kyle Steed.
