Corinne Borgognoni Rocconi, 99, of Sterlington, Louisiana, formerly of Lake Village, passed away on January 8, 2016 at the home of her son, Tommy, in Sterlington, Louisiana.
She and her sister owned and operated a clothing department store in Lake Village for many years. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village.
Mrs. Rocconi was born on October 14, 1916 in Mississippi and was the daughter of the late Joseph Borgognoni, Sr. and Marcella Alpe Borgognoni.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, August V. Rocconi; five sisters, Dell Taylor, Mary Borgognoni, Rose Beggs, Gelia Siracusa, and Ida Werner; two brothers, Alex and Mack Borgognoni; and a grandson, Thomas Charles Rocconi, Jr.
Survivors are a son, Tommy Charles Rocconi Sr. (Mary Frances Wasson); two brothers, Joe and Tony Pete (Elizabeth) Borgognoni; one sister, Anne Cappel; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Jo Borgononi; grandchildren, August Todd (Mary Linda) Rocconi, Kimberly Kay (Jamie) Vail, great grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Keller, Ashton Rocconi; step grandchildren, Tara and Josh Vail.
Visitation is January 11 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on January 12 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Village, with Father Joe Martina as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Isidore Cemetery under the direction of Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village.
