A Crossett man is being held in an Ashley County jail for allegedly stabbing another man following an altercation in Crossett Saturday evening.
Todd Snyder, 37, likely will face second-degree battery charges for allegedly stabbing 46-year-old Howard Hipp multiple times after Hipp reportedly attempted to intervene in an argument between Snyder and Snyder’s wife around 6 p.m. Saturday, according to Guy Hughes, forensic detective with the Ashley County Sheriff’s Office.
Police believe Snyder and his wife got into a physical altercation and Snyder stabbed Hipp when he tried to intervene, according to Hughes.
The incident occurred at Snyder’s home on Marais Saline Road in Crossett.
Hipp, who was stabbed multiple times, was taken to the parking lot of Mt. Olive Church in North Crossett where he was air lifted to a Little Rock hospital, Hughes said.
Snyder is being held in an Ashley County jail pending a bond hearing.
