The Crossett Riding Club will host the 69th Annual PRCA Rodeo on August 9-12 at Cap Gates Arena in Crossett. The rodeo gets underway each night at 8 p.m.

Special events include a downtown parade and the crowning of the Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo Queen.

The downtown rodeo parade will kick off rodeo activities on Wednesday, August 9 at 4 p.m. The rodeo queen coronation will be held August 12.

“Slim” Garner will be this year’s barrel man and specialty act. The stock contractor will be Pete Carr’s Classic Pro Rodeo. Scott Grover will be returning to announce the action.

Sponsors are Trotter Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram in El Dorado, First National Bank of Crossett, and Walmart.

The Crossett Riding Club PRCA Rodeo, a tradition in Southeast Arkansas, started in 1948. It has one of the largest grand entries of any PRCA rodeo, is part of the PRCA South Eastern Circuit and a participating rodeo in the PRCA’s All American Pro Rodeo Series.

The Crossett Riding Club PRCA Rodeo brings NFR stock, top name cowboys and cowgirls, award winning specialty acts, and one of the top announcers in the PRCA to Cap’ Gates Arena for great rodeo action.
