David Orland Hales, 61, of Star City, passed away November 4, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born September 2, 1960, in Pine Bluff to the late Garland Woodrow Hales and Ileader Blount Hales.
Mr. Hales was a retired carpenter and painter. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Garland Terry Hales; and a great nephew, Gauge Owens.
Survivors include one sister, Ileasa Hales Owens of Crossett; five nieces, Tonya Owens of Star City, Bonnie Owens of Crossett, Alesha (Chris) Witschi of Gould, Kelly Hales of Oxford and Angel Owens Piper of Cleveland, Georgia; three nephews, Jacob (Tiffany) Owens of Monticello, Patrick Owens of Monticello and Garland Hales of Highland, Texas; eight great nieces and seven great nephews.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 10 at 4 p.m. at Outlaw Cemetery in Bradley County. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello.
