The first annual David Paul Slade Memorial Bass Fishing Tournament will held May 26 at Lake Enterprise in Wilmot.
Entry fee is $40. The tournament begins at daybreak and ends at 3 p.m. Tournament Rules.
The tournament is held in memory of Slade, a 17-year-old junior at Hamburg High School who was killed in an atomobile accident on February 4, 2012, the day before he was scheduled to be inducted into the National Guard.
Slade planned to be a military policeman and then return to Southeast Arkansas to be a police officer. He was the son of Saundra and Charles Watson of Montrose.
“Paul was a great kid and Lake Enterprise was his favorite place to fish,” said Carla Taylor. “We would love for everyone to come out and make this event all it can be.”
