Deborah Rose Towles

Deborah “Sissy Debby” Rose Towles, 68, of McGehee, passed away on January 9, 2020 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

She was born on March 25, 1951 in Dermott, to the late Clifford Dewayne Towles and Bessie Katherine Rose Towles.

Debby was a member of Alpha Sigma Sorority and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in McGehee. She enjoyed watching tennis, dining out with friends and family, and playing in a band with her friends. She was always available to care for those in need. Debby loved spending time with her family, especially her great nephews and great niece, who loved their time with Sissy.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Craig Towles and Sammy Towles. Survivors include her brothers, Clifford D. (Sandy) Towles of Vilonia and Billy Don (Susan) Towles of McGehee; sisters, Laura (Danny) Branch of McGehee and Jackie (George) Sheppard of Hot Springs, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 13, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Reggie Russell officiating. Burial will be held at McGehee Cemetery.
